Live with what you love -- indeed.

SPRING hardly ever arrives soon enough for most of us.  Come spring, we feel an urge to sweep away winter and brighten every corner of our homes, as if preparing for a favorite guest.  We fling open the windows, roll up our sleeves and engage in the ordinary but invigorating ritual of the spring clean.  Yesterday was one of those days.

I have poured over these photographs time and time again.  I just L.O.V.E. the feeling they invoke.  In fact all of the work of Atlanta Bartlett inspires me.  I first saw these images in Country Home  magazine.  Lately I have really been craving the subtle, simple, calm of the color white and after rediscovering the February 2009 issue featuring Atlanta Bartlett I'm inspired and motivated once again.  As a matter of fact, I feel a repaint of my living room coming on.   What I really love about the color white is the ease with which you can add punches of color.  These are just a few of the photos I'm loving . . .
I'm thinking "Nap"

I'm thinking good book

Have a really fantastic simply calm day!

Can we say T-R-O-U-B-L-E . . .

They come and go and mostly we hope they would just go . . . Although a beautiful site to most folks, around here they're known for being a really big nasty garden pest for those of us living in the country - or at least gardening in the country!  We knew the fencing around the gardens was on the "To Do" list this spring, but these visitors, which actually numbered 8 - yup, that's eight of them, were an all too unwelcome reminder that it had better be first on the list if we want any chance at not only growing but actually harvesting flowers and veggies this year!

Better get the list out and move things around . . .
