I could

easily put this to use in my kitchen.  I don't have room for anything that big but I could most likely talk my handy husband into rigging up a smaller version.  Maybe once he's done building the stairs . . . laying flooring . . . painting the renovated addition.  Oh the list, it grows!

And this is about the best pallet table I've ever seen.  Hmm.

Once I've rid myself of this lovely flu like cold I've picked up I'm hoping to get to sewing new curtain panels for the master bedroom update.  Hoping to at least get started this weekend.

Enjoy a relaxing but productive weekend.  I can feel a change in the air.

It's

almost time.

So, you know what that means ~
it's time to take down the winter wreaths and decoratives.
And yes, I do mean even if you live in Northwestern Ontario.
I know, you're saying what?  There's still snow and it still feels very much like winter.
Yup, you're right but the feeling is in the air.  The days are getting longer and it's about this time that I start to really get the itch to clean things up in anticipation.
The seeds have been started, the planning of planters and gardens alike is well underway.

This weekend I will begin to feed the honey bees and tomorrow I will be spending the day amongst my fellow bee keepers learning.

Have a really lovely, spring dreaming and planning kind of weekend.  You can do that while you cross country ski!

Seedy Sunday

For those of you interested in vegetable gardening, you will want to take in this event.

The Seedy Sunday & Gardening Extravaganza takes place Sunday, March 3rd at the
Baggage Building Arts Centre, Prince Arthur Landing from 1-4 p.m.

For a full agenda follow the event link above but I'm heading over to catch the folks from
Farmers, Marcelle and Brendan will be discussing the planning steps involved in starting your own vegetable garden.

Marcelle and Brendan grow a really great collection of high quality food, food grown without synthetic chemicals while protecting habitat, soil and water on their farm.
Even if you have just been thinking about growing your own vegetables I know you will find the information Marcelle and Brendan provide to be easy to understand, interesting and relevant no matter what size garden plot you have in mind.

We are . . .

. . . apparently to get some of that white stuff today.  Whatever we get, I'll take it, although I would prefer it not arrive in the blizzard-like fashion that the eastern parts of Canada and the U.S. received.  By the time they dig out, it may be spring.
In the meantime, it's a great day for a soap making marathon.
On the agenda today ~ Rosemary Lemon Mint, Orange Coffee Scrub, Citrus Grove, Lavender Mint, Lavender Spice and I'm thinking a batch of The Naked French Hippy (a new take on our most popular soap).

Whatever your day finds you doing, enjoy, be safe.  Hopefully those in need found shelter from the storm.

Really . . .

. . . are you kidding me?

Just when I get the sweets, snacking habit under control.
I have to stop browsing this site!

Inspiration

Baskets, boots and market bags.  Luv.
The market bag is one of the projects in the Cabin Fever Class.  Yup, you can print your own bag.  Not into bags - then a pillow cover it is.

Sunday Ramblin's

When I need a "kick in the ass" . . .

“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life's a bitch. You've got to go out and kick ass.”
― Maya Angelou
I'm not a "young girl" by any stretch, but the sentiment appeals to me nonetheless.
If you're in doubt ~ go out and kick ass.
